Antique leather case from the Victorian era, in which a so-called amro photo is placed. This technique of taking photos dates back to the mid-19th century. In the photo a lady is depicted sitting. Around the photo a gold-colored border. On the left inner side of the case, nicely worked red velvet that served as a cushion to protect the photo. The cover could be closed like a book and closed with a small hook, so the photo could be safely taken with you when traveling.
Nice brocante red with golden decoration item for a regale, gift or nice with other brocante things. It is the back of an old (failed photo) with the name of the photographer on it with a beautiful image of a lady in red and gold
